Ian supported my husband and me for many years. Our association began from the point my husband took early retirement in 2002 following redundancy and continued through his serious illness and eventual death. Ian has helped me manage the financial implications of giving up my job to become my husband’s carer, dealing with probate, the lifestyle changes associated with widowhood and a major house move.
Ian masterminds my investment portfolio, keeping a balance between income and growth and paying close attention to my preferred level of risk. As a relatively cautious investor, I’m pleased to say I’ve seen overall increases in the value of my portfolio over and above the rate of inflation and also receive monthly and quarterly withdrawls of cash. Ian is also a thoughtful and adept sounding board, helping me make sense of major life changes and how they may impact my financial situation.
Ian was recommended by a close friend as someone who takes a personal approach to advising his clients. As an independent adviser, he is able to suggest a broad range of options, rather than being tied to those available from a particular vendor.
I feel secure and in control of my finances, able to face the future with confidence.
